Three key principles of making it stick

I shared this with readers of my weekly newsletter, but thought it deserved a spot on the blog as well.

This is a video which shares insights from the book [amazon asin=B0CCMVMGDF&text=Make it Stick], by Peter Brown, Henry Roediger, and Mark McDaniel. As the title might suggest, it’s learning focused.

I found the three key principles of retrieval, spacing, and variability very interesting. They speak directly to the question of blocked vs. variable/random practice. Specifically, why the latter provides better results over time.
